Google+ now has 90 Million Users

Google + reached 40 Million users in November 2011 and today, Google + already has more than 90 Million active users according to Larry Page, the CEO of Google.  Most of those Google + users, or about 60% return every day.    This new social media outlet is not a flash in the pan.  Consider signing up for your account, it’s free.  Remember, you do not need a gmail type of email to “sign up” for a Google account.  You can use the email address you always use.

Add Google + to your dental marketing program for 2012.  Your patients may be among the 90 million who already have accounts.

Reasons to use Google +

The best reason to use Google + for your dental practice is better search engine optimization (SEO).   If you have a Google + business page, all anyone has to do to find you is go to the Google Search field and enter a + before a brand or business name.  Voila, your business will come up. It’s a new process called “Direct Connect”  You can read the entire post and  watch videos on Google +  here.

We added a +1 button to my Midwest Dental Solutions website.  Click over and see how it works.

The world of social media continues to grow to allow more opportunities to reach out and connect with your client or dental patient base.  If your patients are hanging out in Google, still the most quiered search engine, your business or dental practice should be listed so your potential clients and new patients can find you.

Not sure how to use Google +? Contact Sharon Kantor Bogetz to help you with your dental marketing and your dental social media.

Google + is now available for dental marketing

As of Nov 8, 2011, Google + is now available for businesses. You can create a Google Plus Business Page for your dental practice or any business, brand, service or organization. Add a Circle for your patients to offer dental coupons, create another qualified link to your dental website, give patients a place to post positive reviews of your dental practice and increase your Google presence on search.

If you are not sure how to get started, contact Sharon Kantor Bogetz at Midwest Dental Solutions. We help dentists with their social media profile.

Google + is now open to the public

Google + is now available to the public as of September 20, 2011.  According to Experian Hitwise, Google + is now number 8 in the most visited social network sites behind Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Linkedin, etc.  Last week,Google + was in 54th with 1.1 million visits before Google opened it to the public.  This week, it hit 54 million visits.  This is what viral is all about.

Why add another social network to your dental marketing campaign?

Google + …..

  • Provides another qualified link to your website to enhance your Google natural listing,
  • Enhances  your cutting edge image to patients by being an early entrant into this new social area,
  • Is already viral.  Share your new Google +  posts with an entirely new set of visitors,
  • Is available for FREE.

If you already have a Google account, you’ll see the Google + option once you sign in.  If you don’t have a Google account, sign up for one, its free and takes just a few minutes.   No need to create a separate G-mail account, you can use your current “favorite” email and password to sign up for your Google account.

Stay the course by  promoting your practice and your website with your Internet dental marketing plan.   Don’t have a plan yet?  Contact Sharon Kantor Bogetz at Midwest Dental Solutions.  She helps dental professionals and small business owners develop social media campaigns.

Google + for Dental Marketing

dental blogGoogle + (also known as Google Plus) is the next marketing frontier and will be a wonderful addition to your dental marketing campaign.  Google + is Google’s answer to Facebook.  Google +, while still in the testing stages, has quickly gained momentum with more than 25 Million users.  Click here for a Google Interactive Tour of Google +

Google Plus does not offer a business page just yet, but they are working on it.  In a Google Plus consumer account, you will be able to create several “circles of friends”  because Google recognizes that users want to share information with friends, family members and business contacts differently.   For example, your business associates do not need to know that your son hit a triple in his game last night and your family doesn’t need to learn about the latest development in the tensile strength of composite!  Facebook has not provided an easy way to segregate which posts go to which friends.

I will be watching this closely.  Stop back to learn more about Google + as it becomes available to dental practices for their Internet Dental Marketing plans.
